As Club Penguin continues to grow and players from around the world join in the waddle around and make friends, the events and parties change too.  Events like St. Patrick’s Day are not celebrated in many places in the world and we wish for penguins all over to be able to join in.

There is still St. Patrick’s Day related items and players are having igloo parties in green themes to celebrate. So if you wish to enjoy the event turn green and show your support!

Aunt Arctic also releases a new edition of the “Club Penguin Times Newspaper” every Wednesday for all penguins to enjoy.  These are two great resources for penguins to stay in touch with what is happening in the community.

March has arrived, and that means lots of exciting new events are coming up fast!

Starting this week we begin the countdown to the Penguin Play Awards. For those who didn’t make it last year, it’s a huge event where everyone votes for their favorite Stage plays from 2009. Check out this sneak peek of the Plaza…

It’ll kick off March 19 – How do you think you and your friends will get ready for the red carpet?

In other news, Rockhopper’s been spotted in the telescope at the Beacon, so that means he’ll be on the island soon. And later this month you can keep your eye out for a big surprise – a brand new game! I can’t say much about it, just that you’ll need to be quick… and ready to come to the rescue…

So many of you’ve been talking about the orange puffle and they’re finally ready for adoption at the Pet Shop! Starting today you can take ‘em back to your igloo!

I’ve talked to the team and they’re telling me that this new furry creature’s totally unique and full of surprises. We’d love to hear your orange puffle stories if you have any!

In other news, Rockhopper’s in view from the telescope at the top of the Lighthouse – I wonder what our favorite pirate’s going to be bringing?

It’s the time of year when we honor the island’s best pets – puffles. Way back when Club Penguin first launched, there weren’t any puffles at all. But a lot of you asked to have some kind of pet to adopt and we decided to make up a completely new creature. That’s how the puffle came to be. Actually, you guys even decided on the name “puffle”!

Last year we showed a couple of the original sketches back from November 2005 when artists first started sketching what a penguin’s pet might look like – we wanted to show some of those again (in case you missed them) plus a few more that have never been seen before.

The Puffle Party is still going strong for a few more days, and I hope you and your puffles are having a blast! I got a kick out of the Puffle Show, with the Puffle Grooming station and all the races going on. What did you think of it?

Some of you may have noticed that the party was launched earlier than expected last week. This was part of our new earlier launch times that I mentioned last Tuesday.

This week, things will be happening a little earlier than usual again. The Puffle Party will be wrapping up on Thursday morning Penguin Standard Time, and the new Sports Catalog will be launching then too. It also means a special surprise will be arriving early at the Pet Shop…

So make sure to enjoy the Puffle Party while it’s here, and let us know what your favorite parts were!

The Puffle Party’s in full swing and it looks like you’re having fun with your pets! We’ve heard from some of you that you’ve spotted a furry orange creature in a box somewhere… And we’ve been seeing you try to lure it out by turning orange and offering it food. Good luck getting that puffle to come out!!

Lots of you have told us that you like the puffle toys, so we wanted to give you some info about new ones. This is from our Series #4 Pet Puffles:

What do you think? Along with puffles, there’s more new stuff coming – including Limited Edition Penguins and Mix ‘N Match figures! The toys are coming soon to a bunch of places including Disney Stores, Toys “R” Us, Target, and the CP Online Shop.

It looks like a side of a gate. Where will you put it in your igloo?

And the Volcano mystery is coming to an end with dark clouds. It got darker in the Ninja Hideout and the Dojo Courtyard. I guess the surprise is almost here.

And for the new pin! It’s the football pin located at the Lodge Attic.

The decorating contest will start on October 16th. So for members that are willing to participate, better get ready. Next up is the reminder for the 4th Anniversary of Club Penguin that will only last for one day.

And now for the Volcano Mystery, so it’s been bugging and intruiging us for a while now, but looks like it’s coming to it’s finale soon. So the newspaper mentioned somthing about it. Looks like Gary the Gadget Guy has to do something with it… possibly a new mission of some sort.

And the upcoming events has been upated, the new play will be tomorrow, but Billybob has shown us some pictures of Squidzoid’s new 80 % controllable, collosal monster. I think his name is Melmon, it isnt confirmed yet though.

Here’s another sneak peak from the newspaper. As you can see, he’s humongous.

And now for the Upcoming Events. Now the new BIC will be coming on October 16, just in time to help members with the Decorating Contest.
